Out of Work

Out of Work is a personal project of mine.  It is inspired by my own search for real employment.  I have always kept a notebook full of jobs post that I have answered along with the individual cover letters I sent.  I recently made the observation, I have sent well over 500 replies and last time I checked, I have received less than 10 responses.  It was as though I had sent blank emails/letters to people.

This project attempts to capture out of work volunteers who have agreed to be photographed with blank pieces of paper representing the number of resumes/applications they have sent out.  I hope to photograph as many people as I can.  If you want to be part of the project, please contact me.
